Take note K-ON and Lucky star, this is what you should strive for.

Well I bought AD a couple of days ago, read it, and was blown away by 2 things.

1. The art is good, all the time.
2. The comedy is funny, all the time.


K-ON and Lucky star really haven't got shit on azumanga daioh.

i was planning to watch this a long time but yeah not really had the chance to watch it... though i saw this in manny AMV's or Nico Nico Video's. and saw like half an episode though something arround ep 7 or 8.

but idk why im not a real big fan of Lucky Star while i watch quite allot of comedy/moe.

the parts that i have seen where awesome but yeah, about k-on idk i found it a pretty fun anime to watch not much like comedy wise though some where abit too... yeah booring like getting a new place for ton-chan (the turtle) and such.

i probably down this anime burn it on a disc and then layback and watch till it ends... probably takes 4-5hours towatch not.

Unlike a music manga like BECK, which offers plenty of uplifting action, what K-ON! deals with is tea parties, cake appreciation and tests, in a laid back slice-of-life way.
There’s no story development or outcome with a classic moe manga like this – so there’s no story.
For otaku it seems character is more important than story, so fragmentary episodes like these are preferred.
As there’s no story, there’s no growth.
There are no male characters either – so there’s no change there either.
A utopia without any outcome or growth might well be just what blog and Twitter stir-loving modern fan tastes are after.

Well azumanga is a 4 comic strip manga. Kinda like K-ON! and LS but actually funny.

I'd view azumanga more like Dilbert or Garfield. Not really a manga with story, but comedy strips.

Reading beck atm. Honestly comedy manga/anime aren't really about story though. Uplifting beck may be, but i prefer Eden.
