take this from on IT-NS, your NIC card ( Network Interface Card ) has a specific mac address. Meaning you can take the NIC card from one computer and put it in another and you will still have the same mac address.

And another thing your mac address of your computer is NEVER seen by the outside world. The router/default gateway's mac address is what is seen.

to me it makes for sence to ban off IP and the ports that are used.

I've done this, I can confirm this works 100%. I am now playing on alterIWnet again.

But you need to uninstall your old drivers first. Then install the drivers that came with the wireless card. It should work.

i tried it, but it only worked once, after that it changes back and forth between 2 Xuids... weird maybe its just me

Did you uninstall your old drivers? If you bought a Wireless USB adapter or a PCI Adapter and install the drivers for that you'll need to uninstall your old drivers. That's what happened to me.

Yes that's correct. And this still works, I've got banned again and my friend luckily gave me his USB Wireless Adapter and I returned my old one. /

True, it's not a lot but if you unban yourself 5 times it gets a little pricey for a free game IMO..
