If you got a laptop, no. If you got a desktop find out what type you got with Everest Ultimate and buy a model with similar specifications. Frequency, CAS latency, voltage etc. Whatever you do don't try to download RAM.

From his RAM, I don't think his computer has that high of specs, or that it would support x64. But otherwise, yeah, he should get x64.

I don't think Windows 7 is that big of an improvement except for security and looks. Performance shouldn't be that different.
