Also curious how they were able to detect it...

Black Ops will not lift the bans of your mw2 account, but its best to make a new one just incase [read it on steam forums]

tbh are the people getting banned editing the config as advised to do?

my vac blocker is still working fine and ive found a loop to get around the steam connect problem
all though my site is down now untill blackops as im done working on MW2.

I wouldn't trust that as Bo not out yet they may apply the ban to it when you register it as it's same source
