    i saw many people using as avatar a letter or manny letters that the letter is like star wars....
    for example swiftdude he has a S as avatar how did he do this?

    If you using Photoshop, write text and go to Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options and apply some styles (Outer Glow, Inner GLow, Bevel and Imboss ...). I made a lot of signatures with this opitions
