well for you ping problem
1 be the host of the game
2 find a host thats in your area or
3 get a better internet provider

how can i find closest server to me on MW2?? im guessing its automaticlly?? ISP could be the way however the whole of new zealand is limited. Sad but True. Pretty much whoever i use is Crapola haha my area of town isnt Capable of ADSL 2 yet.....

Right now, the sections aren't large enough for them all to have a seperate minion, hence I'm minion of all consoles. Hopefully, Xion7200 will eventually get minion position as well. (I'm certain he will, its up to Dave whether or not its needed).

You should run a ping test and tell us what quality your ping status is, secondly, your connection problem could be caused by your ISP as the area you are currently living in only has ADSL. I would recommend, if possible to find an ISP that allows you to have ADSL2+ or Cable Broadband in your area, thirdly, Consoles connect you to a server that's relevant to your connection speed and ping, Australia and NZ share a server usually and always connect to that server, bur on Rare occasions you will be connected to American Servers and most likely be Kicked from the lobby anyway so Yes server selection is Automatic.

cheers Xion yea only some areas of my town in new zealand have adsl 2 my area is due for it in december cant wait.. So if i was to join u in a game it would more than likely be an american server???....

First I've heard of ADSL3+, the only thing ive heard about the upgrading of our Internet is the National Broadband plan that KRudd introduced!
