I mean nothing is different other than the overlay in this mod. You could have just made a new mod. Overlay makes it so you can see all the textures on the gun. If you don't overlay, it looks like clay shaped into a gun.

I'm guessing that, because you already saved it as a DTX file before overlaying it, you just got the non-overlayed version, and overlayed it on the original L9, leading it to look exactly the same?

I know, but when you join the site, in the terms and conditions it says no1 affiliated with nexon is allowed on the site I THINK.
