"Scoped in" movement speed

I was playing a sniper only matchup and then it hit me... Why not have a full speed travel speed while scoped in?

im sure most of you have noticed that when a weapon is scoped in, you move at a snail's pace, and as a result, prefer to use a d3d crosshair... BUT unfortunately that does not allow for any magnification, and when you do scope in, again, the travel speed issue...

SO i ask this: would it be worth it to be able to move at FULL normal speed while scoped in? After all your animation dont change...

I know a speed hack may be able to remedy this, but well, that means turning it on when youre scoped in, turning it off when ur not... and im simply too lazy...

So i suppose you could call a hack like that "scope speed"? anyways.../

i think you could only alter certain things and do what your saying

like keep every thing legit.. but increase duck velocity so you could walk a normal speed while crouching

maybe SRunVel = scope run velocity?

As a trained soldier, I use scopes on the M16A3 rifles. I also use the Tavor-21 and other Israeli/American weapon. The reason why you slow down greatly is because the character is taking precaution. I'm not going to run toward an enemy with my scope up because it would make me unable to hit the person. Now, if I lift my rifle and walk I can easily fire at the enemy. This is why the player is slowed down when aiming, because then you can aim at your enemies far easier.

If you would run with the scope up, the scope will be swaying all over the place and you couldn't hit the target that you wanted to kill.

Yes you can, snipers are trained to some things, they run and quickly sit down to snipe at targets.

Not impossible.. because that rifle weight like.. what five pounds and you have to make shots count?

The walk key is use when you're in need to have the scope out like a sniper or you're don't need to run. The make you walk.. because that is a real way that I would do it.
