hey guys, i used to dabble around in c# a little bit in my diablo 2 days, and i remember usiing a packet sniffer to figure out when certain packets were sent to the client and when the client sent them to the server, then intercept them and either just prevent them from reaching their destination all together or replacing them with the ones i wanted, or sending them without a trigger, blah blah blah.
ok, what my idea is, is to use a packet sniffer to figure out what packets are sent to trigger the end of the game and bring up the final score or to switch the final camera angle, or something along that motive, and use it to deactivate whatever modifications you have made to the memory. this is just an idea and i will not personally be executing it as i have decided to return to my legit account upon the release of the new fireteam map and want to challenge myself with the new settings they have applied to the infected, but maybe someone can use this to their advantage with the new detection system.

he's right, it is legal to MONITOR the packets, but not edit them.
i used to do some simple packet hacks on old Facebook flash games (Rollercoaster kingdom, you could send 1 packet over n over and get rich over night :P)
i was thinking about this, but for other hacks. but honestly, the law is iffy on this subject of editting, because how do a few forums get away with there infinite ammo vip hax, from what i've heard, its all got to do with packet sending!

come on you guys, pay attention. no one is editing packets. we are monitoring them. as in watching them. nothing is sent back to the server. no packets are modified. its just when you get that certain packet, it would be like using the panic option on some hacks, as in it would remove all of your NON PACKET BASED modifications. again, NO EDITING, REPLACING, SENDING OF ANY SORT. just reading.
