Check my threads. Currently I have 3 desktop PCs, 2 servers and I had a small render farm.

My gaming desktop had an ud9, 980x, memory for 1 grand (was gonna upgrade), 4 gtx480s, a total of 10 hdds and 2 ssds (vertex 2 in raid 0 <3), LC and proper hard mods. Now go cry before I get the SR2, my xeons and quadros.

Over 15 grand? And wheres the crappy laptop? its not in the list

No the 6800 series, the 6850 and 6870 were built to replace the mid level cards, the 5700 series. The 5800 series is going to be replaced by the 6900 series. Idk what they're going to replace the 5900's with, maybe the 7070? /

No the 6800 series, the 6850 and 6870 were built to replace the mid level cards, the 5700 series. The 5800 series is going to be replaced by the 6900 series. Idk what they're going to replace the 5900's with, maybe the 7070? /

7000 is the next series (not gonna be a refresh). And the 5970 + variants are multi gpu cards /

I just hope the 6900 are gonna be worth it, the 68*0 are pretty much the same thing as the 58*0s /
