Editing "TRAINING.DAT"

Well if you extract WORLDS.rez using RezXtract then you get .dat files for a bunch of maps. One of them is training.dat and I am trying to change the default M24 they give you into a minigun or pretty much any other weapon. I have seen a guy change it into an airstrike-LGB so it must be possible. When you search for "M24", you get this:

and

I have tried changing both of these into M136_AT4 (ss rocket launcher) and I even checked in GUNS_M_HH (models of guns when they're on the floor) to get the exact filename and then injected training.dat into worlds.rez but whenever I try training mode doesn't load Here is a youtube video showing the finished product with an LGB: I am a 99.5% noob coder, as the only editing I've ever done to rez files is changing training mode into different maps. I know that this is my first post, so nobody on mpgh knows me but I'm hoping that you guys can help. All helpful answers get any rep/thanks I can give and maybe some sort of in-game gift. For some reason it won't let me type ltc but that's what the blocked out part in the second part says.

These aren't mine, they are small bits from training.dat that might be helpful for someone trying to help me change the default weapon in training mode

Ouch, I dunno, I would say trying to change the default weapon into something other than the SS rocket launcher at first, in case you would be the Character Model = Super_Spy or Spy to recieve the rocket launcher. Basically, what I'm saying is, you chose the worst possible gun to test in the game. Try something besides the rocket launcher, something simple, such as the G36E or the P90. If this works, then you can conclude that the SS Rocket Launcher is impossible to use as a regular soldier. If this doesn't work, then I'm sorry, and I wish you luck trying to get this to work.

I guess I'll try the p90 tomorrow. I'm really tempted to try the p90tr se instead but like you said, I should start simple.

I never thought of that... Then you could get the Minigun, but not the specialist. I would love to get the Arctic Wolf to practice quick scoping here. Please post your progress!

Well if you know how to do it please say so I tried with the p90 but it didn't work, not really anything else I can think of.
