ur probably playing on steam version and no it donesnt mean ur banned lol its impossible for the messaging appearing there in aIW or maybe u installed game wrong idk

"Steam connection failed" is when the host cant verify the XUID on the aIW server.

NO NO NO!
Just Update the Game.
I turned off the automatic update in the iw4mp.cfg so it doesn't patch and i get kicked every 3 mins. If you don't updated it yet. Just enable the auto update and start iw4mp.

So what you have to to is:
- Go to your COD 6 AIW folder
- Open the iw4mp.cfg file
- Change the 0 to 1 ("enable_updates 1")
- Save file
- Run AIW and let it update
- Have Fun

Also, if you don't update you cant play at all. You'll get an error along the lines of "This build of MW2 is no longer valid for online play"
