Loud footsteps?

I know its possible to change gun sounds but does the same go for footsteps? Such as giving them a distinct sound..? And/or increasing sound radius

Put the audio file on something like... Audacity, and amp the sound up I guess. It should work, but I've never tried, 'cause I'm kinda new.

Increase the footsteps sound (many files)
just drop into Audacity, edit it to have a louder output sound, then convert it to whatever filetype is necessary for Combat Arms, i don't know the exact steps
