Its pretty common now a days and its fun as hell to cruise, once you get used to it its addicting like crazy

haha thats pretty true chilling and cruising by the cali coast feelling the wind and view of the ocean. im more of that than doing tricks in a skate park... but i understand why you would like that instead

The main reason why I quit longboarding was because the fad died and everybody was so into skating.
I'm not trying to be into the crowd, but skating is indeed better and actually safer than longboarding in most cases.
Plus, i think you only skated for a week or two?
I've been skating on and off for a long time

I just got back late last month and i'm getting all my tricks back, and making more progress than i've ever had.
just watch i'll get inward heel and varial heel tonight.

well i skated for 2 weeks then stopped, long board for 2 weeks and now im at the poing of learnging sliding and shit. I agree going downhill on longboard is dangerous and really fast i fell and busted my palm and elbows trying to stop at 20 *** lol, but once u get the hang of cruising its fun the more you do it the better you get

Whenever i went longboarding (spent about 4 months longboarding) I wouldn't get hurt....
but when i skate, i get hurt a lot, lawls
I had my camera in my bag, and was going downhill on my board at around 35mph.
I hit a sewer cover (manhole) and then started to speed wobble
I ran off my board, but then i fell, my head bounced off the ground, my shoulder got road rash, and i have some other scars over my body. I was so scared because when i fell, i tried my best to keep my camera from smashing or getting cracked, so i took the fall by doing a front flip and having my head bounce off the ground so my camera can stay above my chest.
