Kids in the United States and People as Whole

I'm in Middle School, and I've seen little kids playing with all their electronics, and at a party, I ask one of them, "Want to Play Monopoly?" and they didn't even know what that was. Are we letting technology get too far? It is doing everything for us and letting us get fat. It does everything except exercise us, and that is one of the most important things in life.

Well, we can USE it as much as we can now, but alot of people are relying on it nowadays. There's a difference between using it and relying on it, and most kids are relying on it now. Just think of how many kids would lose their minds if their didn't have any computer's/facebook, tv's, phone's or gaming consoles. They'd actually have to MOVE, and TALK TO PEOPLE.

I agree that people are a little too into their "toys" nowadays. However, it isn't the actual technology that makes us this way. In the North American society, we are born and raised to consume, consume, consume. Not necessarily food products, but pretty much everything, from clothing to music. The media has such a huge influence over the population that it may as well do the shopping for the majority of the population. It is being stressed that if you don't have the latest, greatest product (like the iPhone), you're not cool. Sadly enough, people buy into that crap.

aahhh "kids these days" im in highskool and i can tell you, me, a honors student with a current gpa of 97 gets very ltlle reward for my efforts(black ops maybe) but kids who fail get tons, i wish i could fk them out of thier dream land

Technology is good, but has more bad then good, as a Muslim if something has more bad then good its forbidden, but i don't really know as technology helps to find cures, but it kills the planet. tricky tbh..

People may think china is independant, and makes its own things, but in reality its dependant on saudia arabia for its oil to run its machionary, China is the producer.

China gives no credit to people, but to it self. "in china" people imagine a big clean factory, but NO, its little huts full of children, who can't say "no" because its that or live on the streats.
