I think you should start working with a bigger workspace. Try moving up to say 450x150? You'll be able to add more GFX and practice more techniques.

Size doesn't matter.
Like if your not doing good with small signatures, your not going to do much better with big signatures. It's all about the idea, concept, and skills used to get the result.

It's easier to learn with larger signatures though. Or at least it's easier for me. You can fit more into them, and practice different techniques with a much clearer workspace as compared to a tiny one where you can barely see the effects you use.
