Well, it looks like you just messed around with the gradient maps, but didn't really do anything else, so I guess the colors look ok. They match the theme.

I think he means that the blue gradient map made the sky darker than it was previously.

I erased all effects from the sky. I never edited it. That way it would stay the same color, but be brought out more. I don't like how in the original it all has a blue feel, it makes it seem bland to me. Rather than have the sky stand out.
