Hey! I'm from the Netherlands aswell! And if you guys want to know, I recently converted to Islam last Ramadan on the 15th of August 2010.

The first post was amusing though, all these verses quoted out of context.

Exodus 21:15 (King James Version): "And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death."

And there is more like that, omg the Bible is evil, may god forbid.

Anyway I notice people bashing Islam all the time, but I never see Muslims bashing other religions, so why is that people continue to put Islam in a negative perspective? Is it perhaps that they are confronted with truth which makes them afraid? Or is Sheytaan (Satan) having a hand in this so that they reject their own God.

Allah says in the Q'uran in Surah Al-Ankaboot Chapter 29:45: "And argue not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way) that is better, save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto you; our God and your God is One, and unto Him we surrender."

Jesus pbuh said in John 8:32: "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

then you would understand why we believe what we believe.

that maybe you're also offending Christians?

Because if you take the original new testament (greek language) and you translate the world they translated as son. Then you also find this word also means: servant. And the bible has got sons by the tongue, Abraham is called son of god, it says in the bible: All who are led by the spirit of God, they are sons of God. And then most of the Christians they quote Ghosphel of John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (King James Version) . Christian scholars of the highest rank, they say that this word begotten is a fabrication and they delete it from the bible.(Standard Revised Version)

The real issue here JW is that Greek has many words for a single English word.
So it could have been a simple transliteration made by the original transcribers on the KJV. Not entirely sure tbh..there are soo many theories reguarding John 3:16.

All in all though, it's not important. The message is still there.
