Uhm no they don't. They teach on the crusades in the schools too, so you can't argue that they keep it a secret or anything.

Crusade isn't taught fully, in religious views, just in agnostic views.

Popes never have a next stage(they die), they teach the religious point more than the agnostic, and casavir: catholics aren't pope servants like they used to be, the pope more or less is like a political figure now.
