Map/Weapon and Gear Guide

A new guide to kill time, Minions/Mods, please keep this in the general section for a few days, as most people flock to the General first before the Tut. section. I would rather have this move when the thread started to 'die' as people will stop commenting about it and stuff. As I was writing this out, I found that the list of all the maps will make this thread very long.. so I decided to not do them all in one go. I will keep adding more per days.


The weapons are not my opinion, but what I found is the best to be use in the game. I will not cover Spec weapons and gear as I do not ever use them nor will ever use them. I will not also cover Fireteam as any weapon class will be good there.


This guide will be for the time written in short paragraphs as people are too damn lazy these days to read.

First thing first, what is your character?

Speeders: Speeders are people with NX/GP speed gear in which they often carry a SMG or a shotgun (most do both). They often rush and are one of the hardest group to kill. They are also in term the quickest to kill, as some vests will make them more prone to damage and their reckless nature add to that.

Assault: Assault are the most common people, they have an AR and will engage at close, medium, and long range combat. They also prove to be the most hardest group to list as there is more ARs than other weapon classes.

Heavy: The heavy are people with heavy vest and an MG to use against people. They are very slow, but they cause massive damage at close and medium range.

Snipers: Sniper are people that uses rifles, they are fast, camp in places, and are quick to move. They are one of the hardest to kill up front.



Maps (A-Z)
Brushwood: Brushwood is one of the hardest map to play on as it is often one sided to the other team. Once the team to push forward and simply stalemate the other side.. game over.


Speeders gear: Oblivious speed items both NX and GP.
Primary: PP-19 of any class, P90 (TR is the best)
Secondary: Any pistols will do.
Melee: Any
Grenade: HE nades or NX nades will do great here.
Second/Third weapon: K2 on auto if a GP user, M416 CQB are also good as the gun is light and stable.


Assault gear: None, a light vest would help.
Primary: For this map, because it is medium combat/long range, the AK47, K2, and the M4A1 are the best for GP users. NX users can you use the AK74, M416 CQB, and the MTAR.
Secondary: Any
Melee: Any
Grenade: Same as Speeder
Second/third weapon: None, you can use the M16 as a backup.

Heavy gear: heavy gear or a heavy merc
Primary: Negev is one of the best MG in the game, along with the M60 Steel, MG36. GP user should use the M60.
Secondary: A fast pistol like the G23.
Melee: Any
Grenade: Default, the reason is that the heavy guy will not throw the nade as far as others, endangering himself and others (if FF is on).
Second/third: M16 will do enough, you don't need the SMG or the AR.

Sniper gear: Light vest will do, anything will do, heavy vest or heavy merc is not wanted.
Primary: Ignore all GP weapons as none of them are able to compete well with the other rifles. Get the SR-25 if you're not good with a bolt rifle, the L9 if you want, but is a pain in the ass to use, the NX items are: L9 Arctic, DSR-1, and the TPG series.
Secondary: Fast pistol, G23
Melee: Any
Grenade: Same as Assault and Speeder.
Second/Third: P90 or the PP-19, keep you going fast.

Coldseed: One of the easier map with combat going from close, medium, and long range combat. This map make people have a more balance approch.

Speed gear: Any speed gear.
Primary: SMG, PP-19, P90
Secondary: Fast pistol, G23
Melee: Any
Grenade: NX grenade, HE nade
Second/Third: Shotgun that is fast, Super 90

Assault gear: None, maybe a cap or something.
Primary: M4, K2, AK series, M416 CQB, G3
Secondary: Fast or default
Melee: Any
Grenade: Same as Speed
Second/Third: P90, Uzi, PP-19

Heavy gear: Heavy vest or heavy merc.
Primary: M60, M60 Steel, MG36
Secondary: Fast pistol, G23
Melee: Any
Grenade: Same as above heavy
Second/Third: M4A1. M416 CQB

Sniper gear: Light vest, speed gear
Primary: SR-25, L9, DSR, TPG
Secondary: Fast pistol, G23
Melee: Any
Grenade: HE, NX grenade
Second/Third: P90, PP19

I dont play too much Brushwood but I do play Cold Seed.

What you think about it?

Perfectly fine, but why don't you get one more grenade to be more effective than gas?

Other than that, your gear is just fine.
