I didn't get regulars banned. They got themselves banned, if they can't follow the rules they need to be fairly treated. I am well aware of your contribution to the section and all and i appreciate it but it doesn't mean you're above the rules. Let me let you "righteous" Kids all in on a Philosophy that I support.

Everyone thinks flaming someone in the gfx section is just sooo horrible.
Don't you get it? It is not about dogging someone to just do it.
Picking apart every single shitty flaw in a tag,
and then adding your own little creative text based insults helps noobs.
How do I know?

It helped me and many other people I respect immensely!
When somebody rips one of your creations to the point where you think:
"Shit man..I suck..I should give up, or get better"

Than depending on what type of person you are,
you make the choice.
Fly or die.
I either quit, or I show these flaming fucking assholes that I can be great.
That I can be more than they think I have the potential to be.
Fuck, I'm a little pissed at the fact that ulterior motives are being exposed here.

The bottom line is this Ryguy and you can take it for what it's worth.

Yes sometimes negative comments can help you push yourself to do better while in other cases it may do just the opposite. I am focused on helping every single person that I can to get better. I know I am not the best and that is mainly because I took a break for over a year and came back to some more advanced styles. The only way to encourage people to keep pushing them selves is to give them a little bit of negativity at a time, not all at once. If someone told me my first signature sucked I would have quit and said that this just wasnt for me.

You have to convince the newer members that they have a chance at actually becoming good and then let them learn from you and others.

He went from making shit when he got here,
to improving a great deal,
and that was only in a matter of about a month.
He clenched 3rd place in the LP contest.
We helped him. Everyone that was a regular,
that bashed on his early shit.
He wanted to get better, and he did.

I was flamed like shit, I fucking hated Scrcrw at the beginning, still sorta do now, but 'cause I wanted to prove him wrong, I did more than the limits, making me a little better. It's the flaming that helps us learn. For one, I agree with you a little. There is immense flame, a little too much on that part, that could be fixed, but it's how it is. This is not a GFX site. Why do we seem pissy? It's because they don't want to learn. They don't try at their works. They just do the bare minimum and say "Oh look, I'm a fucking beast at this shit." If they're trying their best, haven't you noticed that when they start to improve, we start helping even more out? We try to help them exceed, but if they can't get past that one barrier, we can't help them. They are out of our reach. And about the GFX site? Why come here? If you really want to learn, why not go to a real GFX site?

That's good but certain people learn differently. I mean if we had like 10 new people start gfx right now and replied to each of them "you're shit you need to stop right now" most of them would most likely quit and maybe a few would try harder. And yea, those few might push themselves even more and get better quicker but you're also losing some people that may have had a chance. I'm not saying that your way is wrong, but rules are rules and people have to follow them. I don't mind people saying oh your placement and depth are shit and stuff like that, but telling someone to leave the site is a little bit harsh.
