Hi, there has been alot of controversy about whether texture hacks can ban you now or not.
I myself am incredibly confused, if someone could just clarify it for me/us to know, it would be greatly appreciated.

In MOST games, any modifications to game files would get you ban.
The Game Developers / moderators don't really care for texture modders because it doesn't necessarily affect others gameplay. Unless Black Ops has an autocheck for each file(s) then you might get banned if it's modified.

What i'm saying is. Texture Modding isn't a big of a problem compared to aimbotting, but it is against the rules, and you do have a chance of getting in trouble. If you were to show the BO Moderators that you're modding and they care for it, then they could ban you. Entirely, it's not a bad thing, but it can get you out.

I would think that yes because it give's you a minor advantage if they catch you but I wouldn't think it would ban you because of the fact that I don't think at this stage of the game their would be many hackers and the fact is that I don't think that their going to have a auto file check like Jabuuty671 said.

They are game developers by exploiting their game they can do what ever they want with oyu. However it should be mentioned in EULA.
