VAC used to ban anytime after 2 weeks, but the policy has changed a little bit, and they are banning a little faster now.

You tried use hack?

1. DONT launch from .exe launcher

2. Check posts (not all of them) for working python launchers

3. Do you have vista / win7? And do you have Aero on?

You should only be using the python version. If you used the exe only once in the past week or so, you are probably banned. Does not matter if you use the python now, VAC only needs one excuse to ban you.

I made a simple ExternalHack Launcher that can detect if you have ActivePython installed and link you to the correct version (2.6.6.17, 32-bit or 64-bit) so you can download the files. Make sure you put it next to your src folder not inside it! To start the hack just click 'Start ExternalHack'.
Maybe you could add this to the next version to avoid all these exe confusions and bans.

Cool tool mate, and usefull, when many guys are having problems with finding right version of activepython . I will suggest this to sph4ck to add to hack, especially he is removing .exe launcher.

Next release will be more flexible on the Python version. It will run Python 2.7 either from ActivePython or python.org.

Even the smallest Python dist are quite big: 15MB, but it should fit in the file quota.

Bans are not instant with VAC.

And the exe is detected, but the python version is not. So so long as you use the hack through python you will not be banned.

And changing the name wont do much good as the signature would pretty much be the same.
