Mapping in Call of Duty: World at War is a easy thing to learn for some people. Others quit because they are not satisfied with their map. Learning to map is a easy thing to do. Sticking with it will be the challenge. This tutorial will consist of what you need to know before you start, what you need you to get started mapping, how to plan a map, different parts of mapping such as Brushes, FX, World Spawn settings, and many, many more. This tutorial will basically be a step-by-step guide on how to learn to map. Our Wiki will be your main resource to go to, to look for information to map.
Before you start reading, take a deep breath, and smile, because you are now entering the CoD:WW Mapping Community.


Mapping is a very, very stressful job. After you make your first finished map, you will throw all that stress away.

If you would like to map, ask yourself these questions:
Do I have lots of free time?
Do I have the patience?
Am I well under stress?
Can I handle all the people messaging me about bugs/glitches?


The first thing you will have to do is download The Official Call of Duty: World at War Mod Tools.

Radiant is a program in which you will be doing all of your map work in.
The mod tools come with Radiant and all the other tools, needed for Mapping and Modding.

After downloading it, open it up and Please read the readme, and follow every step in order, and you will have no problems.

After downloading and installing the mod tools, you will also need:
CoD:WW Map/Mod Tools Package v1.1
CoD:WW Map/Mod Tools Package v1.2

thank you guys and i might make a BETTER update to this, like how to make blockers and stuff and scripts that you put into "nazi_zombie_MAPNAME.gsc" "nazi_zombie_MAPNAME_fx.gsc" and "nazi_zombie_MAPNAME.csv" (scripts files that identify if its campaign, zombie mode, or multiplayer)
