Wouldn't it be possible to build an atom bomb inside a passenger sized airliner and have it look normal and then "hijack" it and detonate the bomb over valuable targets?
Or have it detonate when unloading at a major airport and no one that could have seen what plane blew up would survive

nuclear bombs would have to be detonated in mid air in order to successful.

if you detonated it while it was on close to the ground you'd have a giant hold in the ground and not much spread.

It would still spread fallout, and take out planes next to it which would then probably take out more planes and so on
Then have it detonated when the plane is supposedly landing on the runway
No matter what the whole city would probably be radiated and the smoke from all the jet fuel would help spread the fallout
Its MUCH cheaper than IBM's, and multiple planes could be loaded this way
Even if they order all planes out of the air and start searching each plane you could remotely detonate it once soldiers try to search the loaded plane and you would have high military casualties
And we haven't even gotten to the threat of Nuclear submarines on the West coast/Hawaii


I know N. Korea doesn't have to balls to do this, but they could easily trade the enriched Uranium to willing buyers without drawing much attention if they do it in small batches

What if Al Qaeda bought some?
What if some South American drug lords bought some?
Who do you think their first targets would be?
And no matter who goes to war, it would be against some UN or NATO country and then America is expected to assist them
