definitely not worth upgrading.
throw in an SSD if you can
Well i cant really see the benefits of the new AMD radeon HD6870 from my old ATI radeon HD5870 which im currently using. Can anyone give me a bit more insight? and please no things like "because its newer" because i can run any game on high/ultra high with my current gfx card.

I dont think ill throw in a ssd i already have 2 stupidly fast hd's. I kinda figured it wasnt worth the upgrade as soon as i saw that it has 1 gig gddr5 while my current gfx card has 2 gigs gddr5, so i needed an opinion before i pressed the order button xD. I have a pretty big budget for a new gfx card so i started to look around and i found this Newegg.com - ATI 100-505602 FirePro V9800 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFire Supported Workstation Video Card it seems like a great gfx card, but 3,100$ seems a bit high. Opinons?

More raw power, better dx11 support, better power/usage etc.
And SSDs are worth it, "super fast HDDs" still have high seek times and low iops (e.g. this beast with 4x sandforce: HEXUS.net - Review :: OCZ RevoDrive X2 240GB PCIe SSD review : Page - 1/8).
As far as your system goes I would rather look at a cpu / mobo / ram upgrade than a gfx upgrade.

Idk i kinda like my Phenom 1090T, but if i need a new cpu what would you recommend. As for my hd i have 2 WD Velociraptors 10,000 rpm 600gb ea, they are really responsive even when my computer is under heavy load. As far as the motherboard goes i think your right there, many persons have told me to upgrade it but yet again i havent had any probs with it so far, i was thinking of an upgrade tho asus maybe. Also my computer is 32bit i cant upgrade my ram any further. And ty for the reply towards that gfx card, it catched my eye when i was browsing thru amd, the price is a bit steep tho, i'll see what i can do and see if i can buy it *wary*.
Edit: Can i use the ssd with my sata drives?
Edit#2: Dont recommend an intel i seriously dislike intel.
