    Yes. I imagine that it's easier for the patcher to filter files with "*.nxgz" than to use a standard gz extension and possbly unzip other normal gzip files that may be present from other programs or operations.

    Doesn't make sense :P

    Gzip has a terrible compression ratio, whereas 7-zip generally makes things 7 times smaller. Hell, I got Windows Vista down to 5mb!

    those files are Nexon's version of a ".rar" file
    so the rez file patch file is compressed in the file
    they will go away when the patch is done

    To be more specific, it's a plain normal gzip file whose file extension has been changed. No format changes. And, it's not Nexon's version of a rar. :3

    I told you that they wont because the simple fact to make something different for then is a lot of job and maintenance.
