The maximum ban length for all offenses will now run 30 days. Those caught cheating repeatedly or those found attempting to evade, however, will be banned permanently by a selected group of senior staff and added to a special list, which will be copied to future games and systems. This measure is an attempt to allow a significant amount of users who may have been wrongly banned in the past, due to staff negligence in following standard procedure, technical problems with the reporting tool, or simple bad judgment, to play again. It will also reintroduce a lot of previously banned users into the player pool, the vast majority of which probably did cheat. For those users, consider this opportunity a rare second chance, now that you are aware that you can be caught and restricted from gameplay.

The list will be pruned tonight once our database manager comes online, after which the list will be pruned of mature bans once every week (as a result, bans can potentially last as much as 37 days).

If things run smoothly, we will be keeping this system until another replaces it; if not, I am prepared to have all bans replaced to the previous state. If you cheated before, think about playing fairly this time.

okay so let me just quickly list off the things your doing wrong.

one make yet ANOTHER copy of MW2...
Advertising it to those who have been banned from other services...
Claim that it will be "clean" (ban cheaters)...
Then advertising your services on a website that makes cheats for your services...

I have had a few conversations a while ago asking why cheats are made for AlterIW. The most common response was this is a cheating community, and for as long as the game is there we (the community) will make cheats for it. You really think your going to be a special case just because you advertise your master server on their website?

The official WildCatzNet patch is finnished!

Matchmaking works, so enjoy.

Here is the progress so far:

• Updated text above "Find Game".
• Set authserver + 'master' server / playlist to the main server.
• Fixed 0/0 playlist issue
• New WildCatzNet build version info ingame
• Custom Ingame Background

Yeah i don't update this thread much, i was playing around and fixing things yesterday but it's working now. Very slow though the matchmaking because of lack of players.

Oh and @ that other guy, i don't see how this is any bigger advertisement than any other thread in this section. It's not even advertisement, it's a release of something :/
