    Rain Effect: Photoshop

not really much too it....it is pretty easy to do....just do these steps over a signature you already made...

1.)take a new layer, fill it black

2.)use the "add noise" filter and set it to 100% with monochrome

3.)add a simply motion blur to it to make it look the way you want

4.)then set it to overlay or softlight or w/e you think looks best

....for the animation itself you just make like....5 rain layers then make a 5 frame animation each frame showing a different one with the rest hidden each time.

(LOL MY BOBO KILLING SMILEY WAS ADDED!!)

Ah... This is good. I can now use it on PS and don't have to download GIMP.

repeating steps 1-4 would make a rain layer...so do that 5 times in order to make 5 rain layers (change the noise % and possibly the blur % for each one in order to make each rain layer different)

then go into image ready and make 5 frames, first grame has one showing, then second frame has a different one showing (each frame has a different rain layer showing) dont have more than one rain layer visible at one time

it isnt very visible...that is why i said softlight overlay or color dodge....sometimes if it isnt very visible color dodge will bring it out more...and if it is too bright then just lower opacity
