    There's plenty of decent tutorials in the Tutorials section. For others, you're going to need to search it on google and find one that fits your knowledge & skill level.

    As for critique.

    Black and white rarely looks good with a signature, especially one done in this style. Black and white is mostly used for photography and occasionally photo manipulation.

    The Boarder is a bit too think and the wrong color. You usually wan't to go with a dark color that basically frames your work. Usually a black boarder will work with any piece.

    With a render like you used, you should be focusing on a more 3d-type feel. The use of layer effect (aka blending options) make the render look flat and unappealing.

    The text is a bit distracting and does not flow well with the rest of the signature. Don't sweat it though, a lot of people have trouble with text and it will take a bit of hard work to master it.
