Alright.
Well, to be honest, it looks really messy. It looks like you just displaced it, and darkened it. I would clean it up around the edges, and add some effect C4D's / fractals to complement the flames and the water.
Also, adjustment layers are your friends.

Overall though, it's a nice piece. Keep it up.

it's alright. i don't really like the final outcome but im sure it took some decent work to get there.
