I asked about 9 people to day if they believed God was all powerful. If you God doesn't fit into the logical equation I have set up, so be it. If your God is not all powerful (all-powerful as in he cannot do anything contradictory. This involves going against his nature, contradicting logic) then this doesn't apply to you.. though I would say 99% of monotheists believe he is.

Either way.. we are talking about a single word here,
and to base a debate on disproving God over 1 word really isn't going to cut it.

Seeing as my debate hasn't actually been disproved yet, I'd say it is fairing pretty well. All you've done is argued that a word doesn't mean something.

No one in the Bible has been documented as laying eyes on God the Father.
Prophets, Kings, people used by God were given messages,
They never seen him with their eyes, If they described God as Almighty,
or omnipotent, this is the description of a man. Simple as that.

So If Abraham was given a message by God,
then he goes and talks to someone saying "God almighty gave me a message today.." This is how he sees God. It doesn't mean God is exactly how Abraham describes him.

Jesus on the other hand is a different story.
He actually referred to God as almighty,
or at least that's what the majority of Bibles have written,
whether or not this was the actual word used is beyond me.
Either way, not enough to convince me to walk away from my faith,
or even second guess it really.
