Honestly..this whole battle is a giant fail.


You should have did the randomizer thing Doc used.
And instead of having people make threads challenging people,
you should have also used the randomizer to see who battles who.

The way it's set up now is too leisurely.
At least if you actually set up the battles,
there would be some kind of time restriction,
and people really couldn't take their sweet ass time making a challenge thread.

No one mentioned a randomizer or anything before I posted this. You guys fail to make use of a discussion thread. All you do is whine about the possibilities and when I'm open for suggestions you don't say anything. Saying I want to be on a team with this person is not a suggestion.

Then when the time comes I make my own decision and you guys just whine about that. You guys need to realize that we're trying to increase activity, not just keep what we have already. There's no way that some new comer is going to join this challenge if he sees 2 ex gfx members on one team.

This is not a direct rage at anyone just my overall feelings about this.

Once we get this section more active we'll be able to do things like that. Right now there's not enough people to do something like randomly choose who's battling and tell them they need to battle right now. There's much reason to back up my feelings and I'm sure you can think of plenty of them. I thought about this when I was writing the rules; which is why there is the declined column.

If anyone else has any other suggestions or would like to discuss possible ways to make this better...contact me via msn. I will be more than happy to take your ideas or discuss how we can better your ideas.

Most newphs don't even know what a collab is..

Well seems someone has bumped this for me. Collab battles are extremely tedious if they don't have strict deadlines, equally if partners are random there is bound to either be dispute or disagreements, leading to loss of motivation to start/finish and then end up blaming the other person. Collabs work best when pairs (or more) choose each other. Yes, this will lead to substantial skill gaps in entries but i think thats far from the point of hosting a collab battle. Its supposed to encourage teamwork, and is a great way to motivate people and improve learning from others.

So yes, i'm all for this under the condition its not random...
