Rawr. I've seen this a lot. Nice job putting in that symbol it fits. I like this texture a lot though. It's really only yellow, maybe try changing look?

yeah i know, but in the shadow its pretty "gold" maybe ill fix it later

omg, im really sorry to say but:
i've seen alot, alot GOOD one's, almost as good as the real one, only less shiny.
but this: this is just a dark yellow/gold/brown thing in the shadow
and a bright yellow, in the sun.
nothing to do with GOLD, rename it to yellow :T

Another col recolor claiming to be gold. Everyone that wants to make gold needs to go back to MW2, and read my tut that I just posted. Because I really CBF to re-write the whole thing for BO, because its not a huge difference. Once you learn how to actually make gold, and not yellow, then start releasing gold stuff.

all right i'll do that, but in mw2 the golden deagle was included, in an iwi file, i already extracted that one, but it was also close to yellow

Yes I know. But what you missed was the specular file. Gold has very little to do with the _col file. The majority of it lies in the specular (or in the case of BO Specular+Env files) files. Like I said, go and read that tut through and through to get a better grasp on how to make gold. Once you get good at following the tut, branch out and find some other methods, and then start releasing some of the better looking golds.

Also, I'm not trying to advertise my thread, I just want to see more 'real' golds, rather than yellow guns.

I just noticed how similar our posts are. The screenshot positions and the band on the scope. I'm a big fan of yellow... but when its in the light in BO, the minutiae of the texture is more or less overpowered by the glow so I tend to add in some balance for that. Nice work though
