Zero Tolerance Policy Against Hackers

I suppose from the 1k bans out of how many players actually play, its not really significant. But if you take a look at previous days, they RARLELY ban players. Maybe 20 here, 40 there... Not 1,000+.

Hmm. Why did Nexon start this now though? Doesn't all game developers want to rid their games of hackers? Why is nexon all of a sudden pulling out all the stops to ban hackers now? Did they, to a certain extent, allow hacks to go on? Or were they too stupid to actually figure out how to ban hackers?

Interesting to think about.

Zero-Tolerance Hack Policy

On February 16th, we updated our hack monitoring process. From now on, we will have a Zero-Tolerance policy on hacking in Combat Arms. Large scale punitive actions will be taken on a regular basis, including permanent bans.


Combat Arms is about being a soldier, being part of a community, and having fun. Abuse of any kind violates the spirit of the game, and we hope this policy helps make your experience on the field a more positive one.

I believe CA has millions of players, do you know how insignificant 1k bans actually is?

True that, but to me its pretty significant. All it takes is one script kiddie/modder to ruin a game for you, whether if they are using chams or white walls. I played with a lot of those high ranks (that got banned) on a regular basis, and half of them I thought were legit. Even if they ban 1 hacker, that's one less closet hacking sob I have to deal with.

Now we'll see if Nexon is true to their word about the zero tolerance policy and exempt any 2nd chances of players getting their account back no matter what their Nx grade is.
