Increasing Specular??

is it possible to increase the amount of specular on a weapon skin? and im not talking about making it white. I mean like the AK47, no matter what i do the specular mask, it still sucks!! reply if you have a solution, thanks.

The only way to do that is r_specularcolorscale 1 - 10.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? I can almost guarentee you that you are probably not using the right file.

Im trying to make the ak47 purely gold, but when i set the specularmap to high level, bright gold, I enter into the game (Afghan) and i get this wierd Dark glow that doesn't seem bright at all ill get a couple pics.




any idea on how to fix that?

PM me the files that you are using. Also, Afghan is a terrible map for testing gun skins, especially gold. I like the more plain light of favela better.
