The microsoft headset is better than turtlebeach's unless its for xbox.

Mic quality is still a little iffy, you can hear a lot of background static.

FYI, the thing at the end of the barrel with port side holes is known as a compensator. It's to reduce recoil, or perhaps, more accurately, to limit the weapon's vertical muzzle movement. It's usually fitted on high caliber, high recoil guns, to make follow-up shots easier and more accurate.
