What recorder.
What recorder works best with PBO because every time I go to record with fraps it records 20 seconds then rest is black..

Hmmm, I have fraps and it never goes black, so you may want to use live stream podcaster. You can use live feed and also use the video record for what ever you want.

Just use HyperCam 3 (Has better quality now)
Or use CamStudio. When making the video set rendering to the best settings
