Have an In-Game console in alterIWnet!

1. Make a shortcut for iw4mp.exe. If you already have one, just skip this step.
2. Now right click the shortcut and click on 'Properties'.
3 A window should come up looking somewhat like this:

4. At the field I have highlighted, before the quotes, put in this:

+bind ~ chatmode console

so it should look like this:

5. Now save that and launch the game via the shortcut.
6. Now while you are actually playing, press the ~ button on your keyboard.
7. How about that! A little console comes up in the game window!

Now you can play in fullscreen with no need to alt+tab away from the game!
Note: This feature is great for loading mods and stuff like that, but it will not display results from commands like status or findexternalip.

There are tons of methods. A while ago, it used to be that you could just type that into console and it would save it in your config_mp.cfg for you. I'm not sure if it still works but I've gotten a number of complaints saying that it doesn't any more.

Thats probably because noobs had their config_mp.cfg as read only.
