The iPod Touch is crappy for two reasons:

1) iOS. It's bland and outdated with minimal capabilities, even after a jailbreak.

2) iTunes. Slow, and also bland and outdated. More than once I've tried to buy a song, had it take my money and the song refuse to be downloaded.

The iTouch hardware is great, in my opinion anyway, but I would say the Zune is on par. The Zune also provides a better bang for your buck, with a 32GB model only costing less than $180 off of Amazon.com

When I get an MP3 player, I expect to be able to listen to my music, not pay for shitty games.
