"Failed to connect to server" Startup crash.

Hello. I've been playing cross fire for about 2 years now, and since last Thursday I can't play CF because when I start the game, I get this:


If I press OK, the game exits and the client stops working. I'm running on Vista 64bit. Please give me a solution.

P.S
I need something more than "Turn off your anti-virus" or "Turn off your firewall" or "Reset your router" Because I've already tried all these things, and they aren't working. Plus I've never had to do them before.

Happened to me when I play at my cousin's house (he got bad internet) and everything loads fine, but I cant go ingame... This just started happening

btw: This problem appeared Lately for some ,most of them solved by REINSTALLING(make sure u cleaned ur c/Program Files/Z8games after un installed Prev, cf .

I've restarted my router, I already SAID i did. It's NOTHING to do with my internet, because I've played for two years with 60 ping.

Hey yes well amin cause of this Error is Internet be sure to be close to yuor router.... ok? then if the error persists, reinstall Crossfire, becasue there are new files (a new update to Crossfire) so if you started crossfire and you havent recived.... the NEW REZ files (you need to reinstall) if the error persists PM me

No offence but I didn't understand that.
Also, I don't want to hear anything suggesting to restart my modem. Did you read my last reply?

Happened to me when i my Internet stopped working while the game started.

Detach the internet cable from you computer, wait 20 seconds and put it back in. Try to uninstall the game, delete whole CF folder on your disk and install it back as well.

If you are Vista/7 run as admin.You should try to restart your pc too.

Try disabling your Anti Virus.

Thanks for the only useful reply I've found for a while. Most people are just repeating what I specifically told them I already did, and not helping at all. There was also another person that suggested cleaning my CF folder. Thanks to both of you.
