Classes
One of the things that make Combat Arms so much fun is getting together with friends and working together toward a goal. That’s the basis for Fireteam maps, so why not take that idea and formalize it?
Starting June 1st, all Combat Arms players will be asked to choose a class for their character. Once you select a class, your stats, loadouts, and abilities will be altered to match the basic spec of your new class. Naturally, each class will have its own selection of NX items available to choose from, but we feel confident that this wide selection of equipment will only enhance the need for teamwork and make Combat Arms better. Certain Specialists will also be mapped to their new class, formalizing what was once an unofficial role. Specialists will basically be enhanced versions of their class role.
The following list is a short description of the classes you’ll be able to choose from. Combat Arms will be releasing more detailed information throughout April:
Spotters
Spotters were inspired by the rapid movements of MapleStory’s Pirate class. They’ll act as the quick advance guards for Combat Arms squads. They are slightly faster than other players, but their key ability is the “double-jump.” By pressing the space bar while jumping, the Spotter is able to jump in a different direction in mid-air and reach places other players cannot. The basic Spotter will come equipped with a Double Barrel shotgun, but various NX pistols and melee weapons such as baseball bats will also be available. Good Spotters excel at hit and run tactics, running in close to inflict massive damage and then quickly escaping.
Class Specialist: Viper
Troopers
If you’ve ever played a Cygnus Knight Thunder Breaker, then the Trooper class will be immediately familiar. They are slightly tougher than other soldiers and are balanced for both offensive and defensive roles. The basic loadout for the Trooper will include the RPG-7. The Troopers most frightening ability is the “rocket launcher”: by firing the RPG-7 at their feet, the Trooper will be able to jump higher and farther than most other classes.
Class Specialist: Kamara
Firebugs
I had to insist on including this one because of how much I love my Blaze Wizard. The Firebug will never go for a little flame when a big one will do and rule the battlefield by using his Flamethrower. While the Firebug is slightly slower than other classes, he more than makes up for it by the massive damage he inflicts.
Class Specialist: Scorpion
Wreckers
The Wrecker class is a bit more controversial because it’s based on the new Mechanic class in MapleStory. Now some people think the Mechanic is a bit overpowered, so we’re not sure how his analog will play out in the game. For the moment though, the basic Wrecker comes with an M32 Grenade Launcher and M93 Hornets. The Wrecker’s job is to launch grenades at odd angles to take enemy soldiers by surprise and take out Auto-turrets put down by the Architect. Naturally, the M93 Hornets will be great at area denial in many of the tighter maps.
Class Specialist: Rocco
Zaftigs
The Zaftig was the result of one our QA guys’ experience playing a Warrior. Being a tank was so much fun, he wanted to do it in Combat Arms. The Zaftigs will be the slowest class, making them a large target for other players. There’s a reason for this: Zaftigs carry the M134 Minigun and can throw out enough lead to take down a small division. In test runs of the Zaftig, we’ve found that he makes a natural partner for the Corpsman. With the Corpsman healing him and other classes protecting his flank, the Zaftig is a force to be reckoned with.
Class Specialist: Hauser
Architects
The Architect comes from the other half of the Mechanic class – the ability to build a little army of robots that follows you around. Since that would be silly in Combat Arms, we’ve toned it down a bit for the Architect. The Architect is restricted from carrying anything larger than a Shotgun. However, he’s the only class in the game that is allowed to utilize Auto Turrets and First Aid Kits. A team with a good Architect on board will find it much easier to stay alive and get more kills from devilishly placed auto-turrets.
Class Specialist: Baron
Corpsmen
What’s an adventuring party without a cleric? The Combat Arms equivalent, the Corpsmen, will be even tougher to play than Architects because they’re limited to just a basic pistol. The Corpsman’s job is more defensive and supportive: he follows other characters around and uses their stamina and medikit boosts to keep them alive. If he manages to pump enough drugs into another character, that character goes into “overdose mode,” and becomes an unstoppable killing machine for about one minute. In our tests, we’ve found that this class works really well alongside the Zaftig.
Class Specialist: Gabe (new character)
Marksmen
If you like to take out enemies by lurking around the edges of the map, then the Marksman is the class for you. The Marksman boasts approximately the same speed and survivability as the old-style Combat Arms soldiers, although they are restricted to sniper rifles and pistols. This is also the class we’re currently most uncertain about because it doesn’t have a clear RPG analog, so it might get cut. In fact, we’re actually considering removing sniper rifles from the game completely.
Class Specialist: Raven
Double Agent
The Double Agent is the sneaky version of MapleStory’s Thief class. He uses an experimental cloaking device to make himself invisible and sneak behind enemy lines. Once there, he can use a disguise ability to make himself look like a member of the enemy team. From there, he can either destroy enemy auto-turrets or vacuum up first-aid kits. He also carries a Tracker Knife that acts as a one-hit kill if he strikes an opponent from behind.
Class Specialist: Hawk

Old is old. You got to know that now?
Important rules for all the idiots:
1st rules of spelling. Don't fuck with the ORIGINAL.
There're three things I refuse to tolerate: cowardice, bad haircuts, and millitary insurrection.
- Frieza
You want to keep everyone from dying? That's naive. It's a war; people die.
- Luffy to Vivi in Alabasta
We shouldn't worry about being able to achieve our dreams, as long as we have the desire to do it!

CoD is boring
I go on and literally destroy every person out there.
That was my first time playing.
I played against people who prestiged and they weren't noobs.
CoD has 99% no skill players. All the good players quit after a week
