[TuT] How to edit textures (Scope)

You need the following things in order to edit your textures

• Adobe Photoshop (I used CS3 extended version)
• Nvidia Photoshop Plug-ins (Found here: https://developer.download.nvidi*****m....1101.1715.exe
• DDS thumbnail viewer (Found here: https://download.nvidi*****m/developer...DDS_viewer.exe

1. Install the plug-ins

2. Go to your warrock textures directory

c:/program files/warrock/textres/in game

3. Make backups of all the scopes you want to edit (if you need the original files you can download them below)

4. open you "scope.dds"

5. it should be all black this is normal


6. look around untill you find something like this:

or like this


7. click the channels toobar and you should see something like the screens above.

8. select your eraser and set the size to 2500 or the biggest one available


9. in the channels tool bar select "Blue"


10. Now erase all the black
it should turn all white and you should see something like this


11. select "Green":


12. erase all the black
you should see something like this


13. select "red"


14. erase all the black
it should look something like this


15. now your screen should be all white

16. now in the channels tool bar select "alpha 1"


17. you should see this on your screen



18. Now comes the hard part

19. you have to erase all the white stuff around the scope. i use the "rectangle" tool and i erase the white.
should look something like this


20. keep erasing all the white but be careful not to erase the crosshair
it should look like this


21. congratulations you are now done with the editing part!!

22. now press "File/save"

23. you should get something like this:


DO NOT SAVE


24. Alpha means the scope, so you want to save IT with the crosshair. press the down arrow and select EXPLICIT ALPHA


25. NOW press save

26. if you didn't haven't already put the edited scope into your warrock textures directory do it now

c:/pogram files/warrock/textures/in game

27. YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY DONE
