Not really, my PC is almost 4 years old yet I can still run Crysis 2 at playable frame rates with advanced graphics (advanced is the PC equivalent of console graphics).

The range of games on xbox is a LOT more than PC.

I think the only thing consoles lack are rpg and rts.

Controllers are also a lot better than keyboards/mouses for almost any game. There are a few exceptions though.

That being said Xbox's controller is a lot better for shooters and action games than ps3's, but ps3's is better for fighting games.

PS3 has some big issues when it comes to that. RSX is bottlenecking the CPU (cell) cause some shit performances.

Minecraft is meh. Honestly i was surprised this game was "news", as it had already been out for years before.

Console exclusives are the main sellers though.

+You can't trade games in. So any game you got is actually more expensive.
+Your limit on playable games is pretty low. Any games outside of the strict fps, rts, and rpg(meaning no action fps), are more difficult to play if you can even buy them due to the limit of PC games.
-Check gamestop. Walls of console games, very little PC games.

Operating a PC isn't even a problem. You can hardly say installing a game takes any knowledge of a PC at all, especially since almost all games do it automatically anyways.

Overall PC's have less games and less reason to play them than consoles.

Well I can purchase a gaming pc for around $600 dollars which is below what the average consumer pays for a casual pc.
