    Dyes

    So I lurk around here pretty often and I've seen someone ask if it was possible to individually dye pieces with cc_change_xxx & such. And someone else replied that it was possible, but did not elaborate. I lost the topic, but I'd still like to know the commands. Pure/dirty white inner armor = really ugly.

    Also, my brother went on a boat once and he told me that the host somehow changed his char's undies/stuff. I'm not looking to do that myself on public boats like that (however, I'd give my brother's lann some fiona thongs for lulz), but I'm just wondering if it was possible and how.

    For first part of the thread: No. It doesn't exist. OP that mentioned that idea wasn't telling the truth. There is a way, but it's totally not what he was referring to. There is only 1 step, and because it's also game-breaking, cannot talk about it.

    As for second part, refer to: https://www.mpgh.net/forum/267-vindic...-commands.html

    cc_change_costume part number - Change costume (see below)
    part = 0 = character type, where number = {0 for Lann, 1 for Fiona, 2 for Evie, 3 for Karok}
    part = 1 = underwear, where number = 0-30
    part = 2 = head type, where number = {0 for Lann, 10 for Fiona, 20 for Evie, 30 for Karok}
    part = 3 = hair type, where number = ????
    part = 4 - 8 = armor pieces
    part = 9 = animation type, where number = {0 for Lann, 10 for Fiona, 20 for Evie, 30 for Karok}
    cc_change_all_costume_color 255 255 255 || Change all color to white
    cc_change_all_weapon_color 255 255 255 || Change Weapon to white
    cc_change_shield_color 255 255 255 || Change Shield to White
    cc_change_costume_set 1 || Change Costume Set
    31 = Nightmare x2|| 65 = shining will|| 75 = evie thingy || 81 = nightmare || 97 = rose drop || 113 = gothic lolita ||117 parisian || 118 kitty cat || 119 Hammer || 120 Hammer x2 || 124 Hammer x3 || 125 = Artist || 126 = Nun

    Benitsuuba mentioned the changecostume first.

    Thanks for the fast reply. I'm disappointed to hear I'll have to continue depending on my legit gear to color/dye my 'fake' gear.

    As for the list, I know about that, thanks. I can do it for my own char, however I was wondering if you could do it to other people's chars -- like in my brother's case.

    You can't permanently color anything, but you can use the command cc_change_costume_color or cc_change_all_costume_color
    For the first part you follow the normal part list 4 is top, 5 is pants, etc. but you add another number to tell which color, 0 is primary, 1 is secondary and 3 is the third color.
    For example: "cc_change_costume_color 2 0 500000". This would change your skin green.
    I hope this is what you're asking about.

    Edit: Also, you can't change another person's costume as far as I know.

    Oh, sweet. Yeah, I wasn't talking about permanent dyes. That's too bad about the whole changing other party member's looks (still wondering how they changed my brother's though).

    As for the color dyes, I don't get how they work. What are the ranges? I thought it was RGB 255 255 255 but apparently not (that explains why i couldn't get anything to work when i tried 255 255 255 color dyes and such).

    Thankies ♥

    Honestly, I don't know myself.
    I know that the cc_change_all_costume_color uses the RGB (255 255 255) but I have no idea how the individual ones work. It seems the piece specification throws it off and you have to use a different code. I just stick with random numbers, but it seems high numbers = more variation in color.

    Actually, when I first tested out dyes, I tried the RGB 255 255 255 thing and nothing changed, which was why I went on here and posted my questions concerning this. So far, this was what I got (in general before I got bored)

    0 = black
    ~8000 = blue
    ~9000 = blue green
    ~10000 = green
    ~100000= sky blue
    ~1000000=dark teal
    ~10000000 = pastel green
    ~100000000 = red
    ~150000000 = pastel yellow
    ~1000000000 = purple
    ~10000000000 = white

    and so on, so forth, ending at white. Anything beyond that is... still white.

    its actually not. take the hex value of your color and convert it to decimal:

    eg. red ---> #FF0000 ---> 16711680

    Ah, that makes sense then. I haven't toyed with the color commands, they seem worse than useless imo.

    There's a person who supposedly found a way to turn them into permanent dyes, but I don't know if he released the method or if it even works. He said it was a small string of commands.
