I bet a combat arms server run by a random 12 year old would be better maintained than nexon's... I dont know why they dont just let people host their own... OBVIOUSLY there is a good reason for it. I mean, If they didnt make their game into shit people wouldnt have a reason to want to host their own...

Sorry for replying so late but yep, its a matter of modifying the files enough so they are to your liking but not so much that they become corrupted and unable to connect to nexons database of stats

Actually, the problem is because Maplestory doesn't require much hosting, while Combat Arms does, because of overfilled servers, and because a person's computer technically ''host'' their own server when they make a game. Thus, as many have pointed out...

If it did, it would mean that we already have the server files, thus something like alterIWnet coming out for CA.

Since MW2's hosting system is based on the player, that means they basically gave us the server files. They just had to be reverse engineered so that they could work from the backend[us]

still don't understand what you said.

The room master does not host the game. The other players do not connect through the game master into nexon's servers, if that's what you are suggesting.
