Name one president that didn't make a speech to further his goals. And at least Obama has stopped the economy from plummeting further, though admittedly it has been growing rather slowly and dubiously. As for illegal immigrants, his policy is to actively deport the ones who commit crimes. While I'm not necessarily a fan of overall policy (yes they do receive college funds >_<), there are pros as well as cons.
