I think you need to watch it a couple of times to understand it because I don't understand it either.
Seriously, what the fuck? I just watched it and the ending was confusing. To me it seemed like Batman was now recognized as a criminal because of Harvy's death, and they destroyed Batman's calling signal light thing, and basically said Batman is no more.
Or I completely have this ending screwed up. Help me! Explain..
PS. WHY SO SERIOUS?
I think you need to watch it a couple of times to understand it because I don't understand it either.
I semi got it, but was really confusing the first time.
Batman is Jesus, duh.

So passion of the christ is Batman in disguise? By day I'm Jesus, By night I'm Batman...
Im Obama in the day and Bear Grylls at night.

Lol, I know. Changes the whole story. Bruce Wayne is the messiah.
i see all the batman anime and i know how its ends!
Heres the ending... If you don't want to know, then don't read it...
Harvey Dent had a reputation as a great, heroic common man who was a sort of symbol of justice for the citizens of Gotham. Batman, while he is clearly the hero to us as an audience, does not have such a reputation among the city's residents. All the kids, it seems, and everyone he helps really like him, but the police and other city authorities are always saying that he's a lawless vigilante.
The reason he said that he is the bad guy is because he decided that he would take the blame for the deaths of the people that Harvey Dent killed after becoming Two-Face, as well as Harvey Dent's death. He figured it would be better for the citizens of Gotham to mistrust him, as a questionable vigilante who kills people for seemingly no reason and follows nobody's rules, than to see that Harvey Dent, the beacon of truth and justice, had fallen prey to rage and destruction and hostility against his fellow man.
Harvey Dent's memorial service was that of a hero. As he said "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." He became the villain, but preserving his image as a hero who died for the cause was very important in keeping the city's hopes alive, and to keep it from returning to what it was before.
Google btw.
What's not to understand?
The citizens are already divided against Batman, and then after the white knight fell, the dark knight had to unite the city from falling apart, by undividing the hate for him. He's essentially the fall for Harvey Dent.
Alfred talked about how Batman is symbolic and stuff, it's all tying back to that.
Amateurs.
BRING BACK BT, BRING BACK SAGA, BRING BACK VF, BRING BACK MPGHCRAFT, BRING BACK HABAMON
batman grows old and dies
He see's himself as a villain because the people that died along his way to save people, thus the saying, you either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain.
The movie was great and all, but I think people are praising it so much because Heathe Ledger died. Anyone else agree?
Heath Ledger deserves to die in real life.
