How can i get the map packs for free?

please help me i'd love to get the map packs for mw2 for free and i don't know how...

well you can get them but you wont be able to play them on public matches, i have friedns who got them for free , i will ask them where they downloaded it

easy download alteriw you can find it on alteriw.net install it
then just download the map packs on the site put them in correct folders and your done
for steam i think its not possible since its controled by infinity ward

To play AlterIWnet i have copied the content in steamapps>common>mw2 to other folder, then i've downloaded the DLC's from official AlterIW website and i've downloaded the patch(which updates the game). easy huh? but those are not official steam servers so you cant play with person that has bought the game
