Or you can just go to college and learn, Which will/SHOULD include assembly language a key language game hacking.
Not stupid answers like start writing it or read a book.
But which book? How did you learn? any strong tools to make it the best and fastest learning experience possible. Also any reverse engineering tutorials? like lena's but up to date.I'm a quick learner. I'm just looking for an outlined path to follow in order to learn this skill in the quickest time frame possible. Thanks in advance!!This may be stupid and you may hear it a million times but What is the best path to follow to learn how to code these CA hacks from scratch not c/p? and if c/p at least a detailed explanation of each code segment.

I just like programming, that is all.
Current Stuff:
- GPU Programmer (Cuda)
- Client/Server (Cloud Server)
- Mobile App Development
so are you saying learning assembly before c++ would be a wiser move. College is out of the question. I drive a truck for a living and this is a hobby. I already started this and want to finish but I keep hitting a road block. A person can learn basic c++ and even some advance c++ but they will still hit a rock if they do not know directx because from what i've seen you need to know c++, asm, and d3d as well as reversing or debugging the application in order to know all the memory addresses of the code you want to modify. Or at least this is how it looks from my perspective.
Fuck books- use the interwebs.
lol bush made over.
I don't mean books per say but I meant ebooks .pdfs can get most any book from torrents as you may well already know. I guess what I'm asking is which material would you recommend for a beginner that already knows some of the basics to lead to CA hacks or cracks whichever you prefer to call it?
And Noob thanks for going easy on me with your first post. I've seen how frustrated you get with the complete dumb asses. Also wanna thank you for your sick hacks. You've been on it pretty good. Can almost always rely on you to have a working release. Keep up the good work.
The best way, is the way you feel comfortable with
After some more researching I've come to the conclusion that asm and c++ are almost mandatory for the coding and that all you need are the memory addresses.
Which the memory addresses are not a problem. Just dump engine.exe and cshell.dll using kernel detective and then opening with ollydbg and loaddll and locating the addresses referencing off the previous patched dump.
I believe I'm beginning to understand. The longest part is going to be learning the languages proficiently enough to write the code. And then just use a base to understand the game hook structure and the push to console commands.
Plz tell me if this makes sense and if I seem to be on the right track.
Exactly. Don't give up man. The will to learn is power. I'll help you with whatever I figure out and keep you in the loop.
What I did:
Learned partial vB.
Played around with vB code.
c+ped some c++ code in projects.
Analyzed code /\ /\
Read a few online tuts (didnt help a lot)
learn functions and then learned how to incorporate d3d into c++.
Now im fluent
Alright!! Appreciate the outline. I feel like I'm starting to get a grasp of this. Too bad I'm going back out on the road Monday but I know I can get this down. Won't have much time once I go back to work and will only have 2 days off every 3 weeks but I'm gonna get it. Aight I'm gonna keep playing around with the codes and see where I get.
I'll post back when I have another question. Thank you all! Even if some of the info was vague it still helps.
Heres two tuts that helped me:
First is to understand dif. functions + commands:
Functions (I) - C++ Documentation
Next is building a dll:
Building a DLL with Visual C++ - Developer Zone - National Instruments
